Biomass Controls PBC

Biomass Controls PBC is a Public Benefit Corporation that manufactures the Biogenic Refinery, a decentralized pyrolysis system for high-moisture and difficult biogenic feedstocks: manures, biosolids, and agricultural residuals. A single feedstock pass produces pathogen-inactivated biochar, recoverable thermal energy sized to the site’s process load, and MRV-grade operating data captured by the KELV°N® platform for carbon-removal documentation and verification. Customers include municipal, agricultural, industrial, and sanitation operators. In the field since 2014, with 50+ systems across three continents and a patent portfolio of 21 issued and 5 pending. Based in Woodstock, Connecticut.

Timber Products Inspection/Biomass Energy Lab

Timber Products Inspection (TP) / Biomass Energy Lab (BEL) is a certification body, inspection body, and testing laboratory providing service to the solid biofuels and pyrogenic biocarbon industries. Domestic services generally fall under Timber Products Inspection, and international programs are managed through Biomass Energy Lab. For the Biochar industry we provide testing services to the ISO TC 238 suite of standards as outlined in the ANSI/ASABE/USBI S668 standard.

Pyronexus

Pyronexus combines engineering expertise and hands-on execution to deliver high-performance biochar production systems. The company specializes in waste-to-energy solutions, transforming biomass residues into valuable carbon products while advancing circular economy initiatives. Through its wholly owned subsidiary, BiocharXchange, Pyronexus is expanding domestic and international biochar markets.
Beyond turnkey delivery, Pyronexus provides extended Operations & Maintenance (O&M) services to optimize long-term performance, reliability, and efficiency. These services include process optimization, performance monitoring, preventative maintenance, and technical support, helping clients maximize output, uptime, and carbon performance.
