Desired Future Conditions PBC (DFC) makes biochar and carbon dioxide removal (CDR) affordable without compromising quality. We develop long-term partnerships with landowners across North America for woody feedstock and in-woods biochar production sites to create new revenue streams and incentivize sustainable management decisions. Our projects improve the health of forests, increase resilience against catastrophic disturbance like wildfires, improve local economies, and deliver physical biochar and CDR at industrial scales to end-use markets with a focus on quality and affordability.
